“Yeah.”
Suddenly, Zero's voice was blank. Unreadable.
“Well. I gotta go.”
“Okay.”
Aiba hesitated another moment, unsure what to say. Or rather, how to say it. What if Zero wasn't up for doing it again?
“If you want to add me, just say so.”
His bored, indifferent voice startled Aiba. The suggestion, however, was good.
“I'd like that.”
As soon as they'd fixed that, Zero logged off. Aiba followed soon after, heading to bed.

Five weeks later, Aiba met those dark eyes for the first time.
It was only a brief moment, almost too short for Aiba to notice. He'd been on his way home from his new job, and as he stepped out onto the subway platform another man stepped inside.
Aiba would recognize that face anywhere.
He hadn't contacted Zero since that one night, but this night he was definitely going to. Yet as soon as he logged in, Zero beat him to it.
