This entry brought to you by: the wonders of Pen Refills, How to Break Dell, Ohmigod Amazon dot com, and HAIRCUT. In order of no particular significance.

Also: finals. I am making a very sad face that you cannot properly appreciate on the other side of the screen.

My god, are you a CLASSICS major? Hard core.

Pens? I understand about the pens. I am obsessed with "office supplies." My desk at work is covered with pens and I have to cross off things with color-coded hi-liters. I love Staples. Love it. When I was in college, I ONLY used those plastic Shaeffer fountain pens with "peacock blue" or "lavender" ink because I was such a pretentious 'tard. Hee.

Good luck on the finals. They will end. And then you will be able to breathe.

OH MY GOD THE PEACOCK BLUE FOUNTAIN PENS I WAS OBSESSED WITH THEM.

*ahem* Sorry, I'm just excited that someone else I know used these.

How I loved changing the cartridges! It definitely provided some OCD outlet for me.

Yes I am, for my sins. <3

I totally need to get me to a Staples. Office Depot is not of the same order, it sounds like.

<3 for the luck, thank you.

Nnnnnngh languages. I would really like to pick up a few more of them. I am noting your selections in case Latin and Greek are two I choose.

And no, you are not sick for being excited about playing with them. I remember I spent an entire summer translating Pablo Neruda's love poems from Spanish to English. For fun. >_>

I hope your new haircut is made of awesome. :D

IT IS OFFICIALLY MADE OF AWESOME.

Neruda is made of enthralling. "And the blood of children ran in the streets like the blood of children."

\o/ I'm glad it came out well.

Mmmm, Explico Algunas Cosas. Such a great poem. And yes, Neruda can be pretty amazing. I find translations of his work to be kind of lacking somehow, though. Well, really, translations of a lot of Spanish poetry and fiction; I don't know why that is.

Okay shutting up now. I'm glad your hair is awesome!

Do not shut up. I love discussing the problems of translation.

Most poetry I find does lose a lot in translation. I'm working on some Latin for a final right now and there are so many syntactic constructions that English simply doesn't have that I have to sort of limp back and forth between meanings. It'd be heartbreaking if, well, I had time to be heartbroken about it.
