50s movies, Broadway, and Opera

I watched "That Touch of Mink" again today.  I love Cary Grant.  And Doris Day.  And the pre-occupation that 50s and 60s movies (well, of the romantic comedy genre) seem to have with psychiatrists.  Maybe this is just my perception, but there always seems to be a psychiatrist running around, or the character mentions their therapist (or "analyst"-- ( Read more... )

Hey araminta! I just saw Curtains a few days ago during a week-long trip to NYC/NJ -- wow, I'm sad it's closing! I had a really fun time there, and yes, David Hyde Pierce was amazing. I also saw the Sunday in the Park with George revivial, which was incredible!!

Enjoy the opera! I love really good opera.
