So, I don't know why, but lately i've been watching a lot of "Hart to Hart" episodes. And I know the show isn't that great, and that it can be (very) sexist at times, but I (like most of the audience when it was actually on tv) just love the relationship between Jonathan and Jennifer, and the believable chemistry between Robert Wagner and Stefanie ( Read more... )

Dude, there is just something about it! Like I KNOW it's the cheesiest thing ever, and a lot of it makes me cringe, but I freaking love it anyway...my level of obsession varies (for a little while there I couldn't shut up about Stefanie Powers' hair (What volume! Like EVEN when she gets hit over the head with a vase or is lying in a ditch or hospital bed)). I've managed to get my friends hooked--but they totally think it's campier than I do. Deep down I love the Harts: their under-cover costumes and at-home wear and the way they easily call each other "darling"...and I AM NOT EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT IT, haha.

Exactly! There is just *something*....it's like a drug. A wonderful cheesy campy drug. *le sigh* Yea, all my friends, whenever I mention it, think I'm insane. And they're probably right, but I still love it. Although seriously--Jennifer's supposed to be this amazing journalist, but only when called for by the plot, otherwise she's a helpless female (she has to distract Jonathan in the middle of a fight at least once an episode by yelling out his name...but I still love it). And Jonathan's arrogant sexism...but still. I love it. And I NEED seasons 3 through 5! I want good copies of that wonderful episode detailing how they met, or when Jonathan is held hostage... (although have you noticed how very fluid the "canon" is? The story of how they met seems to change from season to season...)

Haha, oh my God, it's so true...continuity isn't like a priority for some reason.

I sort of desperately want to see the TV movie Two Harts in 3/4 Time because the Harts go to Montreal! Haha...oh man.

Like to totally go off on a tangent...what you wrote about relationships...like I'm not THAT INTO the idea of coupling up...but like, okay, if it's like the Harts I MIGHT be okay with that, haha.
