Odd bit of trivia

 So I happened to be on amazon today, and noticed that the cheapest price for "The Music Man" on DVD (new) was $95.  Used (well, a reasonable used copy) was about $40.  Ebay was $50.   When did the prices skyrocket?  Why is it so expensive

I so often wonder about that. There's a out-of-print reference book I've wanted for ages. They cheapest I've ever found it was about $230. For that price, I'll hoof it to the university library and use their copy when I need some info from it.
