The BBC is made of awesome.  Seriously--all these fantastic costume dramas, the latest one being Little Dorrit.  Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy are just the cutest couple (even if Matthew looks about twice her size in some shots... :D), and the whole production was just wonderful.  Gorgeous (gorgeous) sets, especially the parts in Venice, ( Read more... )

Anthony Andrews Scarlet Pimpernel FTW! :D I've been wanting to watch it again for a while, but I keep remembering at like, 1 in the morning. And you're right--that's not the best time. How can you properly appreciate the Percy awesomeness and the gruff Chauvelin if you're falling asleep? :D

This is all so very true! If I didn't need to go VT'ing in a half an hour I'd totally start watching it now. Alas! I shall have to wait for another time to enjoy the swoon worthiness of Percy! *sighs and pouts*

(No, despite what you may think, I am not on the BBC's payroll).

So I totally loved it, despite my minor qualms. :)

We could just, you know, move to England and camp out on the BBC's doorstep 'til they hire us.... :)

Glad we recognize the flaws and yet still love it--cause it's awesome. :) Reminded me of Bleak House except Bleak House tied everything up much neater in the end.

Thanks! I think it sounds awesome too, especially if I can find a reason to write it. I can't just say "Victor fits this archetype and the Monster fits this archetype and here is how." I have to show some reason why we seeing how they fit the archetypes enhances the reading. But if I find that reason, it should be awesome. :D
