It is a fun topic, but I'm writing it cause I hate Fanny, rather than liking her... :) For my long research papers--the ones I'm excited to write about, at least--I tend to write about books I hate or am annoyed at. Wuthering Heights last year, and Mansfield Park this year. And the topic is always one that is a bit subversive--like I'm revenging myself upon the author by finding support and meaning in their work for an idea that they, in all probability, did not mean and would not agree with. It's rather passive-aggressive of me actually. But they tend to turn out well, so I'm excited. :)

We should go....I want to really badly, but my bank account would be unhappy with me. :( But really, a new grand staircase and a statue of George Washington in a toga (although that's been there a while)--how could one not go?
