This actually gives me a lot of hope.

The only reason I'm so against a remake is because I'm terrified it'll be half-assed job that'll leave the obnoxious elitist fans in a pool of tears - including myself.

my fears too. if they do anything to ff7, it would be to update the cutscenes like they did for ff4. i wouldn't want them to alter the gameplay too much.

I like FF VII and all but all sequels prequels movies remake novels need to stop, like, I know it's a pretty good game and launched FF series as one of the most iconic RPG games, but it's seriously overrated and overused.

concentrate on making final fantasy good again. 15 looks like it's going to be the same old j-pop style over substance shit. If you go back and do FF7 again it'll be like confirmation that you've given up on the Final Fantasy series.

i never thought about it that way. that's kinda true. ff15 has been sitting on the shelf for too long. the characters look amazing and the cities seem awesome! hopefully they do a good job on ff15 since it's been in the back burner for so long.

Seriously. I haven't been terribly impressed with the past few games.

FFVII was a good game, I agree, but move the fuck on. Start focusing on making good games verses half-assing it with shitty ones and redeem yourselves.

I'm playing VII again because I got it on Steam during the winter sale, and I have to say, it hasn't aged very well. At this point it's been almost 20 years; I think it's time to let it go. And put IX on Steam, damn it.

As long as they don't do the same dialog/voice acting as they did with Cloud in Dissidia Final Fantasy, I don't care what they do.

I liked the voice acting in Dissidia. Cloud was never a man of many words so I hope they don't make him talk too much.
