That couple that are still in love but had to divorce due to their parents are so sad. I hope they find a way to deal with that situation that means they can be together again.

Most of these have nothing to do with the fact that the marriage is international. Couple divorce due to money worries and differences of opinion regarding children etc. that it's a foreign man with Japanese woman doesn't make any difference.

that it's a foreign man with Japanese woman doesn't make any difference.

Mainly cuz the original source was a Japanese article ala Japanese "POV"

I wish I could believe you but your remarks above made me think otherwise.

Well you can believe me since my remarks in the article are about the simple fact that these kind of articles are written independently of their content, by who, and the comments written about this article (on JapanToday which is the source for example).
I didn't comment at all about the content of the article so I have no idea where in my comment, I wrote something that led you to think I misunderstood the article. I don't think it's even possible since as I said I didn't even mention the content of this article. So if there is someone who misunderstood something, it's you.

You didn't miss anything. Idk why the article's title or some of these expat men link it to the fact they were in an international marriage.

Same, it's like the word international is super off in this article.

+10000

I mean, you know you're going to be in a long-term relationship you gotta discuss things as basic as "Btw, do you want kids?" it's not like it's a summer fling... jeez you're getting married ffs -_-

anyways.

+10000 again :P

It is possible they talked about it and that he originally went along with it because his wife really wanted children or thought maybe he would want children because of his wife. Later on, after getting married, maybe he realized he really didn't want children or couldn't grow to love the idea :/

Your concluding comments...MTE! Goodness I could go on a rant about it, but I will spare everyone. I've read loads of articles about international relationships (I was in one too a long time ago) and asth77, I think what you say is true 100%. I frequently (not 100% of the time) find international expat guys were the 'nice guys' back in their home countries.

Articles and comments about Western women from Western male perspective: zomg, I couldn't get a date in my home country because Western womens are bitches, fat, and too feminist while Japanese women are more feminine and real women.
Articles and comments about Japanese women from Western male perspective: zomg, they're bitches, once you put a ring on them they go crazy. She wants me to help out around the house, can you believe the insanity?

x_x Ok I sort of went on a rant anyway...

But you're totally right to go on a rant about it.
I am tired of this dumbass mentality seriously, it needs to be denounced on the internet, and all those expat men "innocently" writing about Japanese wives on those kind of websites… huh.
And you know, whether it is about Japanese or Western women, both of these groups even when it comes to positive things are humiliated, objectified and degraded.
