Is this from a blog post? Don't get me wrong, I'm just starting to miss actual news stories. (Not NEWS stories. No puns here. :P ) Same reason I skip right over any posting with majidekalakehooha as the source.
This seems more like someone with too much time on their hands went and made a blog post spouting their theories as fact and using zero sources for it. Do we really know if Aiba was tapped to do any of these activities this year? Do we know that JE forbid it? Does anyone even care? The only fact we have is his parents got in trouble for selling Arashi-related merchandise, which in a way would make sense as to why his CMs have slightly reduced. They haven't disappeared though, since I know he's been in a handful this past year.
If the "dismissal" line is translated from the article, the blogger did it as a cry for attention. If the OP came up with it, same result. Either way, unimpressed with the current level of what passes as a legitimate source on arama these days.
"The only fact we have is his parents got in trouble for selling Arashi-related merchandise" Was it really a fact about his parents selling Arashi stuff? I thought they were selling Keikarou merchandise but I had the impression the jimusho interpret it as part of selling Arashi's brand. Personally I thought its bullshit for the Jimusho to pressure Aiba family like that. Just asking because I don't really know the details.
True. I should have worded it more properly. I remember JE got a bee in their bonnet claiming his parents were using the likeness of a JE idol (their OWN SON) to sell other products for the restaurant. A copyright infringement/breach of contract if you will, although the validity of their demands was pretty shady to begin with. Even from a business standpoint I don't think the claim would have held up under scrutiny in court, but his parents backed down so they wouldn't give him trouble.
Likeness? In what way? Tracing Aiba's face? His profile? His family name? I'm not familiar with Keikarou goods but I remember it was green. J&A doesn't have the rights to Aiba's colour. They can't win the case. Their policy is ridiculuous. The one who brought up Keikarou as a problem is just trying to threathen Arashi into complying with their stupidity by using Aiba as an example. Its like yakuza without tatoos and chopped fingers.
Uh, no because if all 5 of Arashi's members aren't there, JE's cash cow will be nonexistent. JE will let stuff slide with Arashi until they are irrelevant... which will be no time soon.
1. I've heard from people who have been to Keikarou recently that all the stuff is down. 2. CM CONTRACTS END ALL THE FUCKING GOD DAMN TIME. This is just like people thinking that Arashi not doing Nintendo and au CMs anymore means they're losing popularity. 3. No, for real, is there any ACTUAL CONCRETE PROOF that Aiba was asked back by Fuji TV? 4. ????????????????
