I'm curious what the definition of "mentally strong" was for the poll. Without a firm definition, wouldn't people each have their own idea about what it means?

I don't really have an opinion on the top 3/5/10 names in the poll, one way or the other, just thought it's an interesting phrase. I mean, to me it means persevering and not breaking down in the face of adversity, but it could easily mean something different to someone else. Can there be an accurate poll if the term isn't clearly defined?

It's just like you understood it. In the original poll they elaborate a bit on the title, and according to that, "mentally strong" = willpower, unyielding spirit.
