I think the only reason Berryz is on that list is because of Momoko (I guess any publicity is good publicity). It's interesting to see that Morning Musume is ranked higher then SKE48. Momoclo really got a big jump from the ranking the year before.

I'm surprised to see Ikoma there instead of Shiraishi. I thought that since Shiraishi is much more popular than her, she'll be on the list instead of Ikoma.

Also surprised to see Oya Shizuka there.

Perfume and Momoclo above AKB doesn't make any sense to me, happy to see Nogizaka charting high :D!

Even if it's not especially in Perfume's case, they've become stagnant, every single sounds the same as the last one, their sales are not increasing but decresing, Momoclo on the other hand is rising so it would make more sense but that's just my opinion.

Their sales only really decreased on one single heavily geared towards the children's market. The other two singles from this current era have been some of their highest-selling releases of all time.

I think it's mostly that they're in more CMs than ever lately, probably more than most of the other groups in this ranking.
