Because sales are counted starting from the first day of the week (which is Mondays), not the day new releases are put on the shelves (Tuesdays) or on official release dates (usually Wednesdays).
For example, Kisumai's single and album are counted from 26/3 until 31/3 (their official release date is 27/3 but new releases are put on the shelves one day earlier so sales on the 26th are counted as the first day). So what about their sales on April 1st? it won't be counted as the first week but the week after, in this case, Kisumai's 2nd week begins from 1/4, not 2/4 which is when sales for new releases are counted. So basically, almost all of new releases only have 6 days for their first week sales, not 7 days. You said until 9/4, but 8/4 and 9/4 sales won't be counted as first week for EXILE and DIR EN GREY, but as 2nd week.
