I write fanfics for fun sometimes, I don't really read them anymore because certain fandoms kinda turned me away from fanfic ( I'M LOOKING AT YOU SUPERNATURAL )
I can really remember the first fanfic I read , it was on geocities...or angelfire lmao but it was about Ken and Ryu .... this is what happened to me

The SPN fandom scares me, and I run an SPN community. It's my nice little safe haven for when I get an urge to dabble in the fandom waters...which isn't very often.
I kept seeing theses books around recently and was wondering what the deal was, so I wikied it today. It think it's a little weird that it originated from fanfic, but at the same time, the story sounds very far from Twilight. I havent read any of the Grey books, but I know I've read/seen fanfics that are basically original stories with borrowed names. When scrolling through such AU fics, I've always wondered about this: if you take the shell of a character, fill it with your own stuff and place them in a completely different setting/situation, is it even still fanfiction? And if you have created your own world and characters, isn't that better than borrowing someone elses anyway? I guess people do it because they/readers can easily picture the characters in their heads. Plus I guess it helps to know you already have a potential audience for your fic.
I admire that she's making bank, but I would NEVER ever read the book. I feel like I would become a vegetable if I did. The 50shadesofsuck tumblr, though. I could read that for hours. I love reading the commentary on the excerpts, lmao.
Gravitation is still one of my favorite anime/manga. I have read all of the offical stuffs and I have all of the dvd's. It just grabs you and dosent let go. I think thats why it has become a staple in the anime fan's diet. Even for non shonen ai/yaoi fans and guys :)
