It's for the reception. For really expensive weddings it's not uncommon for the bride to have two or three other dresses she wears during the reception.

It's like Barbie dresses - the colours & flowers. It's nice and all but do they really wear that for a wedding? :O

The colored ones are the reception, it's one of those subtle, "OMG LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY WE'RE SPENDING" signs if the bride has multiple gowns she wears during the reception.
