It’s been announced that idol groups AKB48 and SPEED will collaborate for this year’s ‘FNS Music Festival’. Both groups will come together for  SPEED’s debut song “Body & Soul“, which was made popular in 1996.

Chief producer Kikuchi Shin commented that he wanted to go back in time and have popular songs from the past done in teams, and hopes that everyone watching will enjoy them.

Other collaborations include Tokunaga Hideaki x ATSUSHI (EXILE) singing “Kowarekake no Radio“; Hirai Ken x Yakushimaru Hiroko singing “Woman ‘W no Higeki’ Yori“; Hikawa Kiyoshi x Gospellers singing “Kiyoshi no Zundoko Setsu“; and Wada Akiko x Tokunaga Hideaki singing “Ano Kane wo Narasu no wa Anata“. Additionally, there will be joint performances with Yuzu and Tanimura Shinji, SMAP and Kubotato Shinobu, Moritaka Chisato and Watase Maki, and Arashi and Matsushita Nao.
