Miyavi says that it comes naturally to him, because it's easy for him to switch from being an artist to a dad to a CEO. But it's the support from his family, fans and staff that keeps him going. He wants more people to listen to his music, so he's got to create meaningful music that makes people's lives stronger.

Thanks for a great question! He had an equally great answer for you :)

What?! Are you being serious?! Aaaahhh, so lucky!

Erm... Question... Hmm...

When is he going to collaborate with Melody on a track?

lOl.. I jokes. Forget that.

Erm...

1) Who would he consider is biggest rival in the music industry?
2) Has he ever thought about walking another path in life? Like, if he wasn't in the music industry, what would he do?
3) Finally, WHEN IS HE GOING TO RELEASE MUSIC IN THE UK?!

Hahahaha. I'm refraining so hard to ask about him and other artists. But it's so hard... We'll see how my self-control goes ;)

LOVE your questions. Thank you!

Also, I'm feeling pretty lucky right now. It was really nice of his publicist to set up the interview at such short notice.

Heya! Sorry I didn't have time to ask your questions. He wanted to be a professional soccer player, but an injury stopped that path in its tracks, unfortunately.

I'm curious to know...of course he sings in Japanese but also in English, does anyone know if he's ever sang in another language? If not, has he thought about it, and what language would he like to try next?

Can't believe I forgot to reply to this post! I managed to reply to everybody in the other comms. Derp.

What's hilarious is that an interview said he knew Portugese, and when I asked him, he had the most adorably confused "What?!" ever/

Thanks for a great question and comments!

Hahahaha, I tell people all sorts of wild thing to see if they'd believe me. Apparently, us ice fishing for food everyday is plausible. ;)

I thanked Miyavi for coming to Toronto, and that his music has touched your heart. He thanked you and said that it's really sweet to hear.

where will this interview take place where can i hear or read the interview.
i notice that on this tour he plays to a verity of sized audience so my question is: how is the feeling differ when playing bigger venues to smaller ones and does he have a preference? (basically does he like playing to a smaller audience or a big one)

That's a great question, thanks!

I'll be interviewing him at 5 today, so I'm very excited. I'll be writing the post (concert review + interview) for blogto.com and that will be up Monday. I'll post a link!

Apparently, audience size or venue size doesn't matter to Miyavi! The fans are equally passionate and supportive, and he says that it doesn't matter where he is - he can be on the streets in LA or stadiums in Japan, he plays and he rocks, that's it. :)

Really cool answer to a great question. Thank you!
