Made it home *just* on time, 8:55, after a 13 hour shift... Though my brain was a little fried, so I'm not sure I've followed everything. But that episode had so much to offer!
This episode was suppose to air at 1:37 this morning because of local primary election coverage. Except all I got was part of an entertainment news show and an hour long commercial. So I will be later watching it on Demand.
aww that sucks. I would have been particularly pissed off if after my 13 hours of work and making it home 5 minutes before the show, there was no show after all!
Yes, that would be bad. There's this British show that has taken its sweet time for its last season to premiere in the UK. Before they got it the show aired in Greece, Canada, Turkey, US and one or two other countries before finally coming to the UK. The first episode of the season aired and then the next week episode got preempted.
They did air the episode of POI at 1:37 this morning. My DVR showed it was a rerun of a different episode so I had to set a recording as I have it already set to record new episodes. And added an extra 30 minutes just in case. So I'll see it tonight.
At least it didn't take as long as one episode of NCIS I missed most of in season 2. During the episode there were three interruptions for weather reports and one local police involved shooting. Back then we didn't have things like on Demand or streaming sites like hulu or Netflix. So it took me years before I finally was able to see the episode fully.
Yay for the episode! Yay for the other team of old numbers, I like that very much, they needed someone to keep them safe, and now they have :) Go Machine Team Two!
Okay, Root's voice as Machines is creepy, entirely, not only she even behaves the same as Root, rather weird. I can totally understand Harold why he is reluctant to listen to her when she uses that voice.
Now get back Harry and finish off the Samaritan in, it's time!
PS. From slightly related topic I just noticed there is PoI 4 seasons on Netflix, what an opportunity for rewatch :D
Yay for rewatch! I've actually done that already. ;)
I started by rewatching S4, to refresh my memory before S5, as I had not rewatched it before, and then suddenly I felt the need to rewatch all from the beginning... All the while watching S5. It's been an intense month of POI LOL And now I don't know what to do... So I watch movies with Jim Caviezel... ;)
ETA: oh and in case you might be interested, I have the extended version of the Pilot.
Yes! I just love the idea that the Machine is recruiting other teams to save numbers. And it gives even more meaning to what Harold and John started. They're not just saving the numbers from an immediate danger, they're having a real impact on their lives (at least some of them). And they launch all a movement, saving people who in turn will save people, who then might also save people...
No matter what happens next week (I'm still not very optimistic for a happy end), it makes me feel good knowing that there will always be people out there, saving the numbers.
I do hope they'll take down Samaritan. Otherwise it'd feel like S4 and 5 were a total waste. I'm more worried about who is going to survive... And John is my little favorite, but knowing him and his hero complex, I'm really not optimistic there...
I LOVE that there's another team out there, and maybe lots of other teams for all we know! Fandom gold, right there, for those who read/write in this fandom!! But it does make me wonder if the original team is going to survive... I really hope they do!
As for Harold, oh dear. He seems to have gone all dark side on us. I hope they find him - and that what he's planning isn't as dark as we think!
I don't find it all that odd to hear The Machine using Root's voice, I sort of assumed that's where they were going with it. Though I can get that it's hard to have closure this way, which is why Harold struggled with it at first.
Only one thing about this episode - who's looking after Bear?!

If I was more into writing POI fanfic, I'd be thrilled.
