Laugh all you want. My Thanksgiving involved a co-operative feast, put on by a chosen family of foodies. The eggs involved in the feast came from the chickens scratching in the yard, and we used mostly organic and free-range products. Even the cranberry sauce was scratch made. My bacon-shallot smashed potatoes were well balanced in decadence by the rest of the feast, and my potatoes were at a ratio of 2.25Kg potatoes to 0.5Kg bacon.
