So what IS the correct set of expectations, then? Cause when I expect good things.... it kicks me int he face, when I expect the worst to happen..what do you know, it happens.

I guess I can;t win.

Expect good things, but expect them to happen eventually, not as soon as you want them. Also expect to be disappointed pretty often, but learn not to let it get to you.
