VM Promo Cast Image/Sad Thoughts on L/V

Me = sad. I was going through the S3 promos that have been released and realized that centering the promo cast shot it's Piz, Veronica and Keith. I thought it was just me looking for stuff to depress me and then I went to veronicamarstv.net and checked out the images there and sigh, the pics were made into thumbnails and here's the main cast ( Read more... )

Perhaps the only reason Piz is in that promo shot is becuase he, Veronica and Keith are all on the same level. Logan's sitting between Veronica and Keith, but who knows what this site is trying to get across.

Cheney is still annoying, and I'm happier with LV.

I know that some of my flist likes Cheney or Piz, but I'm not sure about other boards. Piz hasn't gotten much attention at FanForum, but that might change come Tuesday when he could get a thread. I know that the LV people in there are hopeful (well, we just had a long discussion about what we expect from the season, without mentioning anything relating to Piz-which could change things.)

I know that some people like Piz, but he's still just slightly annoying and way too fascinated with Veronica from the beginning.

Part of the fun is the case of a relationship, and I have no interest to watch Piz be a little puppy and follow Veronica around trying to get his chance.

Of course, we very well might be in the minority, which is sad.

I'm afraid we're going to be in the minority though. I'm afraid that L/V will be written showing them falling apart with a few up moments, all the while the build-up, the UST, which viewers love the most (and what L/V fans WERE denied) of Cheney will be spotlighted. I'm not going to other boards much, but I'm assuming from talks in my flist and the LoVe Shack that a lot of people do like Piz/Chris Lowell and if the writing/direction of L/V and Cheney stays the same in the rest of the eps like it was in WW, the rooting will really start to turn toward Cheney. And new viewers? They'll have no reason to root for L/V at all and it will all be about Cheney. And we know that's what Kristen wants ... and honestly? I truly believe it's what Rob Thomas wants too. I think we're screwed and it makes me sad because Logan/Veronica could have been one of TV's greatest couples of all time.

God knows what RT is thinking but I don't think that shot intentionally puts Piz in the shot as to look the main next to veronica/keith. Its just to do with height and composition more than anything.

I'm trying to remain positive. So yeah, I'll see what happens.

Check out the newbie's opinions of WW on The Shack. Someone had her friend watch the show without watching any other episode and yuppers, she thought that since Veronica was so clearly bored with the relationship she should move on and that she and Piz should get together. She did like Logan more than Piz, but as for the pairing? Yeah. Exactly what I expected based on they way LoVe was presented vs. the way potential Cheney was presented. As I've said over and over again, there was nothing for new viewers to root for in regards to L/V. It was all set up to root for Cheney.

Damnit.

I agree. I can say I'm officially disappointed with they way things are going right now in relation to Piz. What kills me is the fact that they spent the last half of season 1 trying to redeem Logan and make him likeable enough to be a reasonable person for Veronica to date. Now that the love for Logan since that time has gotten so huge, they are working so hard at making him disliked. I was really upset with the way they handled L/V in WW, because no new viewers are aware of their past. Logan was brooding the entire episode, but do the new viewers know why? No. New viewers most likely won't be all for L/V because of the way they were put across in WW. I'm pretty sure that was done purposely. The thing is, I don't think I can continue watching if they screw things up. The only good thing the show has that has kept me watching the last season is the L/V relationship and Logan. I have a feeling they've already shot that to hell.

Yuppers. I think I put a finger on what they did so wrong. Piz was not presented as an obstacle in the Logan/Veronica relationship. Logan was presented as an obstacle in the Veronica/Piz relationship.

And it is really sad because you have a really good point. It's honestly like what's the point of anything that happens each season because RT just presses a reset button at the start of each season.
