This all feels so far away and yet so familiar. Hmm… I'm not sure how many people will read this, but anyhoo, here I am once more.

I have to say it’s rather impressive they have managed to keep the exact nature of the school a secret for so long.

I just figure they go with "gifted" as in the common usage of the word and kids as in exceptionally smart, high scores, etc.

But he got Hope expelled!

She wasn't expelled, just suspended, I thought.

I wish there was time/opportunity for her to be on TVD too. I have a feeling she might have gotten along with Damon quite well.

I’d say it’s a toss-up between him turning out to be a villain or turning up dead sooner rather than later. We’ll see.

Oh, absolutely. I doubt very highly he's long for this world. Either as a villain or love interest.

I’m beginning to have more faith in the spin-off of the spin-off...

That's true, but on the other hand, it's not like people believe in magic, witches, werewolves, vampires, etc. so they wouldn't actually believe the kids, LOL!

Honestly, I could have remembered wrong as well. Klaus made a statement about talking to Alaric in the second episode so you very well could have been right. It's not like I'm laser sharp about this show like I am about TVD.

Hmm, what kind of spin-off? Any TVD characters? Wait, don't tell me. I'll wait until the series is over. Don't want to be spoiled. Normally, I wouldn't care about TO but since it's so closely connected to TVD this season, that rule applies, LOL!

it’s really great and fitting that this ended up being the last turning point/conflict/final battle of this show, so to speak.

Yup, I do love how they made the final season's conflict all about the Mikaelsons' and their love for one another. Good call.

Hopefully Caroline mentioned during that phone call with Rebekah that Matt is still single…

Me too. Alas, I'm fairly certain that the show will end with Rebekah with stupid Marcel. (*sigh* I don't think Marcel is stupid. I like him, just not with Rebekah.)

are we going to get Klaus’ reaction to Stefan being dead? I was hoping for a couple of lines or at least a, um, sad look, but TO seems to be ignoring Klaus’ history with Stefan in a way similar to how they have always disregarded Elijah/Katherine.I don't see it the same way actually. It's been 10 years and A LOT has happened since then. I could see Stefan coming up at some point since I know that Caroline will be in more episodes. (And, yes, I'd prefer you not tell me how many.) But dropping Stefan in upon their first meeting ( ... )

Still, when Caroline mentioned getting married and widowed on the same day, a quick shot of Klaus’ face showing that he knows/feels what she’s talking about would’ve been enough for me at this point as a form of acknowledgement.

Normally, I would agree... buuuuut, Klaus is going through a LOT of shit right now and it *has* been ten years.
