I love BSG. I think it's a great show and I enjoyed the Entertainment Article mostly, but one word in a sentence REALLY annoyed me. Not only for the factual inaccuracy of it, but for the dis!!!

Quote:... a stigma that's only exacerbated by a glut of similar-sounding (and inferior) shows like Stargate: Atlantis, Farscape and Andromeda.

I have to agree. I did a double-take when he lumped 'Farscape' in with 'Andromeda' - wtf?

I can't speak for the Stargates b/c I don't watch either of them.

But really - get your facts straight buddy.

So, I'm a little confused. I've only watched a handful of Farscape episodes, but a) they were really good, and b) I thought Farscape had a reputation of being a critically lauded, generally quality example of genre tv. Yes? No?

YES! By like EVERYONE. Jeff Jensen was just a total idiot in this instance who had NO clue what he was talking about. Seriously, I don't think Farscape ever got a negative review from any critic ... ever! And Mike Ausiello practically canonized the show -- with good cause!

Farscape had a reputation of being a critically lauded, generally quality example of genre tv

Yes, except I'd take out the "generally" quantifier because it didn't need one. Farscape was known as a critically lauded, superior quality example of genre tv.
