I finally (actually) did it! This is the final episode of season 01… and with this, I officially have write-ups for every episode of The Vampire Diaries. (OK, fine, I still have to write up 8.07, but that's not in doubt of happening since I've been pretty on the ball in getting these out before the next episode airs since, oh, season 02.)

I loved loved loved this finale. Every minute. I rewatched the porch kiss and haha, you're right, when you pay attention it is so crystal clear it's Katherine. Subtle, but it's there. Nina did a fabulous job indeed.
Thanks for putting up all these posts in such a short time.
Now we can enjoy the final episodes (sob) and then do a rewatch of the whole series. And start the discussion all over again :-)

I think I'm the only TVD fan who doesn't love this finale, LOL! Don't get me wrong, it's great, but the lack of knowing any of the other tomb vampires dinged the episode for me. :shrugs:

Nina was A-MA-ZING!!! So, so, soooooooooooo good.

Now we can enjoy the final episodes (sob) and then do a rewatch of the whole series. And start the discussion all over again :-)

In my opinion every brunette female role Hollywood has should be offered to Nina first before going to other people.

Damon's speech to Elena is one of two speeches Katherine stole that I wish had gotten back to Elena somehow.

I knew I wasn't the only one that noticed Elena was winking and curtsying at Damon not Stefan.

I always found it funny that this was the only episode Elena ever said anything to Damon about his flirting, in fact she starts to return his lovely light hearted flirting.

Oh, so many people noticed Elena looking to Damon first, uh huh!

Yeah, it was interesting that Elena actually acknowledged the flirting in this one.
