Surprisingly it's actually pretty easy to write it as if I don't know what's going to happen. I was shocked to find that was the case but there it is.

Vicki really was a piece of crap to anyone but her brother, wasn't she? Jeremy deserved better, even in such an awful state.

And that first meeting between Damon and Elena (well, until that oh-so-revealing flashback in 3x22)? Magic. Still makes me smile to this day. :D

She really was. I still think, though, had they cast a different actress (it's not that Ewell isn't talented, she just didn't come across as likable and you *really* need that for this kind of character), there may have been a different outcome for Vicki. :shrugs: Or not, since it happened so early in the show.

YES! The chemistry, the way they looked at one another... it really was magic. :D

I love that the crow gets me every time, even though I am not the kind of person that usually jumps at jump-scares. I miss the crow. While I totally understand why they didn’t continue with it, I would have liked some insight into why Damon was controlling it - other than using it for dramatic effect (that was probably the point, but I still would have liked a bit more on the origin of the crow).

I will ignore the fact that comets don't just appear for one evening....

LOL! The crow. My thing was why not using anymore once he ate the first once. Since they did drop it (understandably), I still wished we'd gotten at least a line or something from Damon about how he's done with them because they keep crapping on his front porch (and that reason would be SOOO Damon).

It's a SPESHUL Mystic Falls comet!

Not necessarily... remember, he wasn't in Mystic Falls in 1912 so who knows where he was living, it could have been an apartment! Plus based on the way he was acting in 1912, I don't think that Damon was at that point where he would use animals to spy on people. He was still pretty prissy Damon, LOL!

(I really would have liked a line like that, hee!)

"going so far as to kiss her hand in farewell" - I'll always argue that this counts as Damon and Elena kissing first ;)

LOL! OK, then.

"And then the later scene when they were on the roof with Vicki" - I don't know if it was intentional or not but I found it a bit amusing that while S1 Damon only threatened to throw Vicki off the roof, in 8x16 he actually did throw her out of the clock tower lol

Hah! That's hilarious. I did miss that. :D

"Yes, it was kinda adorable how Stefan used Elena's words about their "epic" conversation when sweet-talking her outside the Salvatore house, but, but, but... we didn't see any of that "epic" conversation." it was probably one of the earliest NOT-OTP signs. Same with the kiss happening so soon.

This is one of the reasons that I was so happy that I did these s1 write-ups because it really made me make note of things that I hadn't dug deep enough into before. I really think that had I done s1 eps from the beginning I wouldn't have had my S/E worries in s2 or s3.
