I didn't realize this until now! In 5.11, "500 Years of Solitude," the song that plays over Elena and her girls, and Damon and his boys is The Fray's "Love Don't Die."( Lyrics to the song -- SO fitting and swoon-worthy!! )

tv, music, the vampire diaries, damon/elena

Amazing! I really believe that songs used in TVD are very significant and chosen purposely.

They are. They've specifically said that they are. :)

I didn't notice that!

(Fun Fact: Candice Accola is in the official Love Don't Die music video with her fiancé.)

Yup, I'm so glad I went through the songs!

I originally had that music video up, but only looked at parts of it but it had like this brawl and stuff in it and wasn't romantic at all, LOL, so that's why I went with the lyric video, LOL!

Awwww. I'm gonna add this song to my DE list :-)
Thanks!!!
Kevin Williamson once said the songs are sort of the third layer of the series and they (or Chris Mollere, the music supervisor) sure knows what they are doing.

Yup, I already added it to mine.

Yeah, they've said that songs have meanings so I definitely pay attention to the lyrics and how the beats and cuts are used in the scenes. Uh huh!
