Congrats on finishing this, my friend. It was a joy to read, even in semi-rough draft form, and I'm so glad you decided to stick with it and finish it. It is one of the best TVD fics (and probably ranks up there in overall fics) that I've read and it's definitely something you should be proud of. :)

That was an wonderful closure. I enjoyed the whole ride with you and I am looking forward to reading more from you. I have read a lot of fanfics over the past months, some better, some worse, but yours is really standing out!
Thanks for finishing it, I am sure you have A LOT of readers who liked it as much as I did.
And I must say I am really impressed how you made your own story working with all that sirebond stuff that was going on in Season 4 so far. I know you had the story outlined before this season, but I still think it's not easy not to get influenced by the ongoing episodes. So - good job!
And they have all become better vampires in the end, indeed.

Thank you! (And thank you for commenting so much after each chapter, it helped me keep going!)

I'm not sure when I'll write more TVD, but if I'm inspired, it will show up! LOL!

It was actually easier working on the fic once the sirebond hit because before that there were a lot of small (and big) things that happened on the show that were similar enough to what I was writing that I had to remember what happened on the show vs. my fic (I actually barely caught some stuff in re-reads before posting!). Once the sirebond hit and all that followed, it was different enough that I didn't have that problem anymore.

And they have all become better vampires in the end, indeed.

Indeed! :D

Thanks! I am happy my comments made a difference. Sorry I tuned in so late - I discovered your site and your fanfiction only a while ago. I happen to be a writer and I know how good it feels to get feedback on the stuff you write. Especially if you write it for the others and not only for your personal entertainment.
It was a great read and you should go on writing, being it fanfiction or something else.
In the meantime I will avidly follow your recaps - on to the next episode tonight. Or - in my case - tomorrow. LOL. Take care!

They really did. I didn't get many comments overall, so those I did helped me to push through my disappointment and fears that I sucked, LOL!

If I write any more TVD fanfic, it will probably be short stories because I do have an original novel I'm working on, and I get to get to working on THAT!

Ooh! Waiting for your response to my write-up for the last episode. I LOVED it. :D

Thank you for heading onto LJ to let me know that you liked the story. I really, really appreciate it. (I checked your rec list, you can move this to COMPLETE! And I'll check out your other recs on there too.)

I am OK with the sire bond on the show (mostly because I think it's opening up and dealing with a lot of issues that might have been ignored, and I don't think it's real, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many inconsistencies), but since I don't have 2 more seasons to write (LOL!) I was able to get my versions to a happy ending sooner rather than later.

RE: The wrong choice parallel, that was just so telling when that happened in 3.22 (and no way was it not deliberately paralleled to D/E in 2.22) that I had to touch upon it in the final chapter.

I'm glad that all of the pairings/characters worked for you. :)

I just can't thank you enough from writing this, it was an amazing journey :)

The characters were spot on, the relationships worked out realistically, the plot was interesting and never bored me and the dialogue was realistic and great as well. Your fic took me away from the show itself and showed how everything should've played out, without the horrible sirebond.

I do not know what else to say, so thank you so much! I hope you won't stop writing, because your stuf is just so good. I'll recommend it to other TVD fans I know, and ask them to comment.

Thank you very much for commenting. :)

I'm glad that the story worked well for you all-around, yay! I am still loving the show myself and I'm OK with the sire bond (mostly because I think it's opening up and dealing with a lot of issues that might have been ignored, and I don't think it's real, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many inconsistencies), but since I don't have 2 more seasons to write (LOL!) I was able to get my versions to a happy ending sooner rather than later. Yay!

Thanks for reccing it to others. I'm not writing anything else right now, but I can't say that I won't be writing more. :)

It's great to see you finished this! Though only 10 months? I can only wish!

The story worked out fine and things worked out a lot smoother and happier than on the show!

Yeah, pretty much about 10 months, quickest I've ever written a long story. I really tried to develop stronger writing habits this time around in prep for... my original novel, which I have to start working on again.

I have the advantage over Julie and co. in that I don't have 2 more seasons to write for so I can get to my happier ending sooner rather than later, yay! :)

Thank you for commenting, I do appreciate it lots. :)
