But it's a good reason why she'd be at the wedding, if it's Barney getting married. And Ted did say the mother was in a college class. Hmmm...
She could be! After all, college could mean grad school (just because I'm thinking about how the mother was at a club on St. Patrick's Day 2008, so she probably had to be 21 then, plus it's less icky than Ted falling in love with someone who's like 19 now) and I could see her and Barney not meeting each other for a long time, thus prolonging the eventual meeting of the mother. Of course, there's always the possibility that it's another red herring, and they'll introduce Barney's sister to Ted and the rest of the gang a few episodes from now.
I like the idea, though, and I wouldn't mind it happening.
