Can I ask how many soap operas you've watched/currently watch? Some of your answers are like blasts from the past. I never really watched OLTL or Santa Barbara, but we do share Days, so I'm curious. You didn't by any chance ever watch Sunset Beach, did you?
I've watched all of them (even all of the recently canceled ones) at one point. Right now, I'm watching Days of Our Lives (but it's pissing me off because they continue to DESTROY EJ and Sami), and General Hospital (mainly for Lucky, the few Jax/Brenda scenes that pop up and anything Johnny). I only watched a bit of Sunset Beach. Sorry. I do remember the turkey baster, though. ;)
Yes, the turkey baster would be what SB was most famous for, LOL, man I loved the ridiculousness of that show. My GH days were in the early '90s when it was Jagger/Karen/Brenda/Jason, I think. I even met Antonio Sabato, back in the day!
SB actually broke the soap opera for me. It got cancelled at the end of '99 and I kept watching Days for a year or so after that, but eventually I gave up because it just wasn't campy enough to entertain me and the glory days (pun intended) of Jack/Jenn, Patch/Kayla, Bo/Hope or Bo/Carly were just over and I felt would never be recaptured. I always wanted Lucas/Sami, but that never happened for real, and I've never watched it with EJ.
Lucas and Sami did get together, but by the time they did, I hated them. Lucas continued to be a judgemental bitca (never mind all of the horrible things he did to Sami), and she was constantly groveling horribly to him. EJ really accepted her as she was, and loved her for it. But now, it's podSami, and they just keep writing it ... guh, just SO BADLY!
Ah, I missed this version of Tina and Cord -- Cord had just been recast when I started watching. It's funny you talk about Max/Tina, because I definitely missed that, too. I...think even Tina and Cord were back together (as recasts)? The only Max pairings I ever saw were that hippie chick, Luna, and Blair.

Max and Luna were cool, but I just LOVED Tina and Max. Tina, as played by Andrea Evans (now Tawny on The Bold & the Beautiful) was the very first actress that I was "obsessed" with. LOVED HER. Still do. I just wish I could stand B&B, but I hate the Bell style of soap-telling.
