The thing that shocked me is that she didn't ask him again if he wanted to withdraw his immunity once he discovered her backup plan. I was sure that was her endgame, and so yeah, I too was kinda appalled at her decision to leave him facing certain death.

YES! I was thinking the same thing. I thought for sure that she was going to offer it to him one last time and I think that Gabriel thought the same thing. But chasing down and shooting an 8-year old in the head was clearly Brenda's limit. She asked him once, he turned it down, and you know that's exactly how she'll justify what she did. What I wonder is if this will have any lasting consequences with Gabriel.
I'm pretty sure -- not a spoiler, I don't do Closer spoilers -- that it *will* effect her getting the Chief of Police job because while no one will flat-out accuse her of it, it will likely be figured out. And while many will probably condone what she did, it will ( ... )
