I agree re DWTS. It's just boring this year. And Louis is doing a horrible job with Nicey who started out all full of sass and has had to do all these slow emo dances since then.
Haven't seen Castle yet. I am not watching 24 right now but I read your post anyway. So they killed what's her name? Awesome.
Yeah, I'm just disappointed with DwtS this year; bad crop of celebs. Oh well.
YES, SHE DIED!!! WOOHOO!! (Of course, it was after she and Jack did the nasty and post-cuddling, ugh!, but I'll take what I can get ... like her death!)
I truly think the bloom has worn off the rose with this show
Yeah. I think for me is when it stopped being such gold mine for continuity and cool extras is when the bloom started to wear off. Season 2 was exceptional, which is when I got hooked on it, and the subsequent seasons haven't lived up to it. I did like the plot of a monkey stealing a wallet if only because at another board I posted at, a poster had a similar experience of being robbed by a monkey. It's funnier it real life.
This is one of the best episodes so far this season.Hmm...I didn't love it as much but maybe I was in a weird mood or something or I was distracted. I did like Sheldon/Raj/Howard/Evil Will. And I loved the Sheldon/Penny scenes, especially when she said "Ack!" Despite her hostility earlier in the episode, she was so sweet to him here and was willing to say the thing that would make him happy...which she couldn't or wouldn't do for Leonard. I've had a soft spot for Kevin Sussman ever since the first season of Ugly Betty. even though it was clear
( ... )
I agree that I liked Stuart much more in s2, but Sussman plays this type of Stuart well too, and he got some genuine laughs for me. Overall, though, I just laughed my ass off over the episode and that's the key for a successful sitcom. Heck, I even laughed during the L/P scenes here and there and that's generally the only time I don't laugh.
I think I have my hopes up way too high after last week. I've been taken aback by how euphoric I've been and then I realized that there's no way I can be satisfied because I'll always regret the missed opportunities to have this be more than a two episode arc. But if we get closure and a kiss, it'll help me get over it.
Yeah, HIMYM was weak. Really, nothing has happened on the show this season, but I'm still watching, and it's probably one of those shows I'll watch til the end.
24 - I know you don't like Renee, but still, I'm sad for Jack. So many people he loves have died. But, at least this reels him back in, since it seemed like he was out after Hassan died.
TBBT - I really enjoyed last night's episode, and I do think it was partly because they wrote a great story around Wil Wheaton and didn't just use him as the whole story. Very enjoyable.
Yeah, I didn't respond to your post because I know you don't feel about Renee as I did and I didn't want to be all YAY! there. I do agree that it sucked for Jack, but I think Renee sucked so more, so I'm fine with it. Gah, I'm awful, LOL!

I like Castle for what it is. It's predictable, and yes, not the best writing, but the chemistry is good, and the whole thing is charming and we need a bit of that on TV. Also, they do entertain. That's important. And I love Nathan. :)
But, oh, I am so sad. They are bringing Michael Trucco in as Beckett's -- I assume -- love interest, for a (short, I hope!) arc. And .... I'm not watching. I can't abide the guy. Just cannot. It's not even his acting, although, goodness knows, he is no awards material. He smirks! Like, a lot. But it's not that. The guy ruined BSG for me! And that I cannot forgive. Not entirely his fault, it had a lot to do with the writing, but still. I get that bad taste in my mouth, and ... I just can't.
Okay, thus endeth the pointless rant. :) I missed the BBT last night! Boo! I had a project and a tricky client on the phone, and I missed it. *Pouts.*
Yup, that's Castle in a nutshell. Aww, I'm sorry for you, I don't care about him either way, but I know how much it sucks when someone you think sucks (for whatever reasons) effects one of your shows.
Re: BBT - You should check hulu or something; REALLY funny episode last night.
I am watching BBT on Hulu tomorrow for sure (another busy evening tonight). And yeah, it blows when someone comes on a show you like and you can't stand them. Fingers crossed, he won't stay for long.
I feel like I need to start watching Ugly Betty again. I sort of drifted away after the first season and have been meaning to go back, but never really did.
