My crack theory about the final episode of RTD's 'Who'

Mar 21, 2009 17:51

I just had what I hope is a completely cracked out theory that has no chance of actually happening about the last Who special based on the latest spoiler, but ties into bunches of other rumors about what's to come ...

Hee! Point and laugh at the crack!! )

Nice idea but my reaction to it was much the same as yours. It even outdoes the notorious "only a dream" shower scene in "Dallas" (and wouldn't RTD love that?)

I think it's more likely that we'll get a shoutout back to Dalek Caan changing the Time War. I do think if all these guys are coming back - and I'd be very cautious about believing the Sun - it'd either be as flashbacks or perhaps in the context of the Doctor being given a choice - would he go back to being Eight if the cost was that he'd never known Rose, etc?

And I repeat, where is Jack in all this? I'm getting worried about the next TW story now. Really worried!

I think I'm the only only person who liked the shower scene in Dallas, but that's because they used that device because the last two seasons has been AWFUL!! There are some shows I wish would employ that device. Here, it would be awful though.

Nice theory but like you I don't want this to happen. I want my favorite characters to be canon.

Well, I'm being talked down so I'm thinking it's all just some crackpot theory in my head and I'm loony. That works for me. :D

Agreed, but I think I was totally completely wrong. I just needed to get it out there and utterly debunked!

I think I'm wrong, totally wrong. Losing Nine from canon would be wrong, so, so wrong.

While I'd be happy to have River Song written off as bad tuna fish, they'd never make David Tennant's Doctor a non-Doctor. He is far too popular. ;) Plus, I don't think fanboy David would be too happy about being a nonDoctor-Doctor.

I'm going to guess that Joan Redfern published the Journal of Impossible Things as a work of fiction and made a lot of money but that it all actually happened.

That (or the book passed down through the generations theory) works as well.
