I'll probably do a BBT write-up -- meh episode -- later tonight, and 24 tomorrow -- too awesome, did it tonight. But for now, the awesomeness that continues to be How I Met Your Mother.
- Stupid, I know, but when Barney threw the 10,000 stamps at Ted, I couldn't help but think, man with the stamp prices constantly going up, a lot of those are going to go to waste.
Are you kidding me? He totally bought 'Forever' stamps. 'Cos prepared is how he rolls. Like a boy scout. Only sexay.
Me too! ;_; Watching Barney slowly sorta fall apart as the episode progressed and to look so beaten at that moment, it broke my heart. It was great, of course, what with NPH being totally and completely full of awesome acting skillz, so it hurt in that good kinda way.

Ted'll be fine - those were forever stamps, they're good, well, forever ::has a pack herself and recognized 'em::
The sharebear totally rocked; he'll be needing that for a long time to come, I think, though. =|
I do wonder how long Robin'll be oblivious, if it will get to be her actively ignoring evidence/writing it off 'cause the idea of Barney being serious is too ridiculous to comprehend. That commitment-phobia's gonna keep her ultra cautious anyway, so it'll definitely be an uphill battle for them both. You're right, though, with Barney realizing the depth of his feelings, a corner's been turned, and the road ahead is full of win. :D
I'm thinking that we're gonna get Robin getting a clue soon simply because the A-story was essentially Barney/Robin in this episode, which seems like they may be kicking this into gear for ... FEB SWEEPS!?!?!?
Y'know, I hadn't even thought of sweeps; I was sure they were going to make us wait till Ted's birthday and the infamous goat incident for some reason. I guess I'm just really used to being forced to wait and wait and wait for something to happen with a ship. Forward momentum early would be totally *awesome* :D
This episode was my favorite of the season by far. And, yeah, I was kind of dreading it since I had heard that Robin and Ted would be hooking up. But NPH was amazing. His delivery was perfect through the entire episode. He had me both laughing out loud and near tears at different points in the episode.
I wasn't dreading it simply because I DO trust Carter/Bays, but I wasn't looking forward to it, but I KNEW it had the potential of being really meh or AWESOME. Obviously, it was AWESOME!!!!!
NPH!! This should be his Emmy submit and he BETTER win!!
Yeah, I think I was dreading it in part because of the whole Robin/Ted thing and in part because I had heard those reality TV celebs were going to be in it.
This should be his Emmy submit and, I agree, he better win!
LOL! I think I'm the only person who wasn't worried about the reality celebs just because I do trust them so much. And they were used so funnily, my favorite gag was the headline on Kim K's. "Kim Kardasian might cut her bangs!" And then the sub-headlines. So funny.
I didn't hear about the hooking up until yesterday I think. I managed to avoid spoilers until I saw the advert and so I was waiting to see what would happen in this episode when it came to Barney.
And I absolutely love this episode. NPH was just wonderful in it and I was so happy that Ted finally knows that Barney is in love with Robin.
Oh and that "I love you" line at the end... That one definitely got to me.
I just want to watch a new episode but it's a bummer that I have to wait a week. ^_^"
Ooh, lucky you for avoiding the spoilers, much less time to angst, LOL! And I absolutely love this episode. NPH was just wonderful in it and I was so happy that Ted finally knows that Barney is in love with Robin.
