On December 25, 2007, Murray Gold introduced "The Stowaway" during the Doctor Who Christmas special, "Voyage of the Damned," and many a Doctor/Rose shipper believed that the lyrics represented the Doctor's yearning for Rose. I was thinking on them tonight and came to the conclusion that if they were indeed intended to represent the Doctor's state ( Read more... )

Well, I thought about it while watching this episode: maybe the giant Cybermen will end up in Pete's world.

Hah, and then Rose and that Doctor can defeat him together. Oh, I so want to see a special with Rose and her Doctor doing what Rose and the Doctor do best. That would be heaven.

A special? I had a dream that David realised he'd made a huge mistake but they'd already aired the regeneration so instead they made "The Adventures of Handy and Rose" which is based in Pete's world and follows their adventures.

Oh cool! I've never heard this song before. Its kinda fun, like an old English folk song :P Not really one of Murray Gold's best, but it is fun.

Now, maybe I'm deaf, maybe I just don't notice things, maybe I was too busy making fun of the cheesy editing at the end, or maybe I wasn't really paying attention to anything much more than David Tennant's adorablness in VotD...but I don't remember this song AT ALL.

I actually like the song (when you listen to it, and not just read the lyrics) better than "Song for Ten" which is by far my least favorite of the sung songs by Murray. You can download to listen here. It's quite catchy.

Oh, and the song played midway through the episode during the dinner it was shortly before he met the lottery-winning couple and was only briefly heard it.
