I'm getting a little frustrated about complaints about HIMYM when it's not Barney/Robin-heavy enough.
I'm not sure that's my personal complaint -- well, it's 50% that, and 50% too Ted-heavy. Sometime last season, Ted went from being endearing to overbearing.
However, I'm not worried that she's the mother, we're getting week after week of how they are not right for each other in small (and big) ways.
That's another reason why the Ted subplots are so frustrating to me -- I feel like this is a dead storyline. WE know she's not the mother, HE knows she's not the mother...why is the show wasting everyone's time? That's part of what bugged me last night: we KNOW Ted will NEVER move to NJ, so why pretend he will? Just makes him look desperate, IMHO.
I liked early season Ted -- the one who wanted a serious, meaningful relationship to eventually end in marriage -- but didn't seem like he was in a real hurry to get married. I don't like single!Ted, but now I'm like...what's the rush, dude? :/
I can understand that. I know he's a great guy from all counts, but I think that they really could have done MUCH better casting with Ted. Josh Radnor is, BY FAR, the weakest member of the cast. All of the issues some have with Ted, I think belong at Radnor's feet.
I'm right there with you on everything you said about HIMYM! :-) I don't understand all the complains either. And I actually enjoy it that we only get little bits and pieces about Barney/Robin every week. There needs to be suspense and a slow build up! And Barney's look at the very end just killed me!! *sigh*
And I also agree about Victoria! I LOVED her with Ted! They had an awesome chemistry and she was just so damn cute.
Can I just say "YES!" to this whole post? Seriously, it's true and I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I love this show, not just the BrOtp of it.

ITA about HIMYM. I actually want them to drag this Barney/Robin thing out for awhile - as long as they get to interact onscreen, I'm fine with it. It's more in character and realistic for it to take awhile for them to get together, anyways.
I don't mind Stella, and in fact, last night was the first time I felt somewhat invested in her and Ted as a couple. That said, I'm sure she's not the mother, so I doubt she's long for the HIMYM world. I liked Ted/Victoria too - I didn't know anyone else did!
TAR - I didn't get to see the premiere, just this past Sunday's ep, so I don't really know anyone's names yet, but the only guy I remember bugging me was the one who is part of the "Newly Dating" couple or whatever.
