"Random Shoes" struck me as a poor man's "Love and Monsters." "Love and Monsters" is definitely not my favorite of the series, but it was an interesting concept with some truly fun moments. "Random Shoes" felt like filler. The rest of the first series finishes off strong though!
Yeah, it was totally like a rip-off of "Love & Monsters" -- which I am, incidentally, one of the few people in the Who fandoms, who is a fan of that episode. This one, though? Just la-aaame. And boring.
Aww, man...I LOVE "Random Shoes" (but that's a very unpopular opinion). I think because I'm fascinated by the line between life and death, and I liked how Eugene pieced together his death and Gwen helped him, and how he got to see his father in the end. I loved L&M, too, but this was more poignant, to me. Then again, like I said...VERY unpopular opinion. ;)
