VM 3.11 'Poughkeepsie, Tramps & Thieves' L/V Thoughts

Feb 02, 2007 23:51

Here's the latest batch of my Logan/Veronica analysis as seen (or will be seen) in The LoVe Shack Breakdowns for the new arc. I know I added caps to this one last week, and I tried to do so this week, but (a) it was kicking my ass it was taking soooooo long and (b) with this many scenes written up, caps just seemed like overkill. So, just the ( Read more... )

I know you hear this all the time, but I really appreciate these analyses every week. They are always so wonderfully insightful, and I take away so much from them (I think it makes my obsession with everything Logan/Veronica even worse!). I can't help but wonder if the writers are putting in half as much effort and thought when they write this relationship. I doubt it :/

Trust me, it never hurts to hear it. It really, really doesn't.

Honestly, I would be shocked if the writers put this much effort into this relationship ... the fact that this contrivance happened says that well enough. There is so much more that could be done with them that doesn't involve other love (and/or sex) interests. But Rob clearly doesn't get that. Shakes head.

Still, I do this to try and get some satisfaction out of their scenes even when it's not there on the surface.

Thanks for commenting. :D

Yeah. So much for warts and all love. I still think Logan had every reason to be wary of making himself vulnerable with the truth given what's about to happen. And part of me wishes hehad made her vulnerable and asked a personal question about her and Piz to retaliate but that's not like Logan. He'd never do that. Which is why the destabilized balance of power in the relationship bugs me so much. She just takes and takes and takes . . . and when he makes himself vulnerable, she bails. She didn't mean to bail this time and she sucked it up and said she wasn't going to, she was going to be "cool" and for a second she was. I really think she tried, but the point is she failed a big one ( ... )

Well, technically we don't how she'll react. And as much as I HAAAATE the contrivance of it, I DO buy that Madison would be the trigger to make her do something stupid like end things. Hate is irrational at times.

But unlike you, I just can not believe that this is the end of Logan/Veronica at all. I just can not. If he does Piz/Veronica, it will be just as I said in last week's analysis ... a transitory, temporary stop. Nothing real. I just have to believe that. And especially because there has been SO MUCH time spent on the Logan/Veronica relationship this season, I can't believe this is it.

Oh Jen!
I was waiting for this!!
I'm still emotionally fucked up after 3x11, but i really liked it. A lot. My heart is a little..how can I say..broken?
But I'll survive and I'll read this an try to leave something that can be called feedback. LOL

I liked it too, but sigh; I can't help but still be worried about what is to come. I just. Do. Not. Trust. Rob. Even if the L/V arc -- and let's be real, the season-long arc is clearly the L/V relationship -- is being really well done so far, I. Do. Not. Trust. Rob.

Pretty, pretty icon.

Rob? He lost my trust a long time ago..you know..we used to be friends, but right now he's my worst enemy.
Cause I'm really scared to death that he'll make LoVe end like season2. With a kiss and a nebulous promise that 'everything's gonna be ok'.
Honestly? I won't be satisfied at all.

PS: thanks! ^_^

Seriously, I'd be willing to take that at this point because I'm afraid that he'll end it with Veronica with Piz, Logan with Parker and then in the last minute or so, Logan and Veronica share a meaningful look which is supposed to tell the audience that it's not over between them. Give me a kiss and it's okay at this point. Sheesh!
