Samurai just got an email from Northeastern University saying an admission packet was on its way. A year ago this time, Northeastern was her first choice -- and still was until just a month or so ago. It's flattering that she made the cut. (On paper, she looked right in the middle of what they were looking for.) We'll have to see if their "lettuce

College rates, along with everything else, are out of this world!
We should have a virtual party once we get these kids off to college! Z. has been accepted into three, but made his choice with the first one (Ohio University).

Hang on to those furnace receipts. At least this year, switching to a more efficient heating or cooling system makes you eligible for some tax credits. That will make tax time next year a little less painful.

I'm trying to save something for The Gothling's college. Always a challenge. There is a standing scholarship offer for high school graduates in our district attending colleges in the state; I hope that maintains, for all kids her age!
