I have started a blog. It will be random, rambly and probably cease after two weeks like every other time I've started a blog. You can read it if you want, or not. I don't promise it will be interesting. Because nobody ever reads the 'About' page

I like Feedly on my tablet but find the desktop version a bit too much like a tablet! My desktop doesn't swish so a swishy touchscreen style interface doesn't work for me.

Yeah, I've had lots of people recommend Feedly, but I don't really get on with it.

What I want is:
* A list of (text) links representing the most recent posts from stuff I'm subscribed to, ordered by publication date/time.
* Nothing else.

Feedly can be set to be that, if you choose your preferences accordingly. For example, I have mine grouped by my assigned topics and chronologically within each topic, but otherwise as you describe.
(This observation also applies to ar_gemlad's comment above - swishiness is not a required part of the interface.)
