The word lands heavily on the freezing, dead shore, the wreckage of everything she has fought for and believed in.

They stand side by side, numbed by the crushing onslaught of emotions too numerous and hopelessly tangled with one another to separate and name.

Eyes fixed firmly on the horizon, he reaches out and takes her ice-cold hand in both of his. There is nothing else to do.

And so I quote that most powerful opening. The all of it.

I love ALL of this drabble.

Such a wonderful and powerful scene. I agree with bugs, so nice to see them together after finding Earth. It is one of the worst moments when she pushes him away and HE LEAVES!! I was rather distressed at that as you can tell. So many great descriptive lines in this, especially this one. "Suddenly, in one swift moment she rips the page from it’s binding and crumples it in her fist, the sound as loud and harsh as if Galatica herself were being torn apart." It just tears at your heart as she tears at those pages. Wonderful work!! I can see it all from your words!!

I agree entirely. As I mentioned to sln1 above, I sort of understand why he did it, but it was still an awful, awful moment.
