I vote to say we disown these people as Canadians. It's a bad day when I have to hang my head in shame. x.x stupid vancouverans.

Apparently most of them, according to police, were in the 22-25 age range (boo my group!!) and that they weren't actually drunk. They had had it in their minds all along to cause problems win or lose.

And it's just sad that the economy and tax payers have to pick up what the result is. And children are now terrified to go into their own city.

Bah.

Apparently there were bricks and molotovs in backpacks, which tells me that they intended to cause trouble regardless of the outcome. It didn't even have to do with the game, it was just an opportunity.

Ugh, people suck sometimes.

Not you though. ;) *hugs*

I would have liked to see Vancouver win, simply because they've never won it before. I swear, games 1-6 were like watching two different series. I really thought, though, that the Canucks would step up at home and win it.

Fie on the jerks who make all sports fans, not just hockey fans, look bad.

I was hoping for Vancouver because, well, I'm a BC girl and they have always been my team.

And yeah, hockey is not the only sport that sees 'fans' rioting, but they sure do put a damper on enthusiasm, don't they? *sigh*
