Title: Catching the snitch
Summary: They had mocked him for years about how he could barely ride a broom, never mind catching a snitch. They had pushed him to the side, downplayed his accomplishments and treated him like the dim younger brother who was just an annoying tag along. It was a shame, what he had to do, but they had it coming.

Seeing things that way, no wonder Peter stopped considering James and Sirius his best friends! Then Remus being a werewolf and Sirius being in love with Remus are, of course, bad reasons to start disliking people, but at least they make sense.
In short, I really like how you cleverly explained the "unexplanable". ^^
Also, I love the parts with little Harry and James who's so proud of him. That's cute, and very welcome to make the general atmosphere of the fic lighter.

And this is not related to the fic at all but, knowing you're a Dr McCoy fan, I thought of you when I heard, in a French musical, a line that reminded me of his usual "I'm a doctor, not a..." (it was "je suis musicien, pas magicien").
