Ahh, the drabble for real.
My bunny hopped to James and Lily for this one.

Authors Note: Actually got a drabble this time! Yay me.
The day started out fresh and bright, perfect for putting his plan into action. It was lovely picnic weather, warm and cheery, like Lily, and the hard part was over. Now to move on to the wooing.
James showered and dressed quietly, trying not to disturb the other boys, although he was not too worried about waking Remus and Sirius, they had been up rather late, and James said a silent prayer to Merlin that either Sirius would learn how to cast a better Silencio, or Remus would cast them from now on.
After a long look in the mirror, James was ready. He had bribed one of the house elves to pack and leave a basket full of food in the dorm for him; he picked it up and made his way down to the common room. A morning picnic with Lily was just what he needed to convince her to date him seriously. She had agreed, if only to get him off her back, (like that would ever happen) and he was certain that this was it. This was the day Lily Evans would finally agree to be his girlfriend.
It was a good day for new beginnings.
