There's a girl in one of my classes who talks about her writing style: she agonizes over every world, every sentence, before she can commit it to paper. By nature, I'm like the girl you mentioned - one who agonizes over every word, wanting it to be perfect before committing it to paper. But after Nanowrimo, I learned that I am more productive (and successful!) when I just word-vomit onto the page, and save the editing for the second draft.
