making plans for two

I am still reading only Regency romances. Why? Mostly for the escapism but I am noticing how, as I read more, my writer brain takes closer note of the techniques and devices, characterisation and which plots catch me more than others. I don't know if that's just familiarity breeding higher standards or latent frustration at my own lack of writing ( Read more... )

I may have asked you this before, but do you actually own these Loretta Chase books? Do you want to meet up and exchange romances and just accept that we'll have one another's other books a bit longer? I really want to see what you make of Kleypas.

Yep yep, all of them! And yeah, that would be totally fine ... I don't mind at all! Aye, I've been seeing Lisa Kleypas' name around but I wasn't sure if she wrote Regency.

When's good for you, love?

Any evening this week is good. 6:30 or 7 is the best time. The time may fluctuate on the day, as it will depend on whether I get work, what time I finish and where it is.

Okay, how about Thursday the 9th? 6.30pm outside Dendy? And you can always text me about the time changing ... :p

Also, which Loretta Chase ones would you like? Cos you've read some of them, haven't you? Or is it a re-read thing? :p

Awesome! And hey, if you can't find them at your major chain stores, I came across Rosemary's in my hunt for Aussie romance bookstores. Adelaide Street, apparently?

I love that Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Melbourne and Wollongong have actual romance bookstores but Sydney doesn't! SO unfair! *lol*

Oh btw, have you seen this website? Free international shipping! And our dollar is pretty strong at the moment. I've ordered from there a couple of times and everything has been perfect and arrived in about 9 days. So if you feel like stocking up on romances & etc. and don't mind a short wait I highly recommend it! (Plus I love watching the map to see what people are buying.)

I found it the very day before you did this comment! *lol* Great minds! Nine days sounds pretty good so I'll definitely add it to the list of bookstores ... although I have to admit I've been totally spoilt by my Canberra bookstore sending me stuff in a matter of two days. And the lady who handles the orders, Margaret, is such a sweetie ... she actually put a couple of chocolates in with my last order. :p

Thanks, Kathrin! ♥
