>ooh malai kulfi on a stick

hmmm. intriguing words. what is?

as ever, your food writing leaves me panting to try the goat, the harissa, the gipsy eggs. (i had cous cous in paris back in 1971. omg, it was good.)

Ahhh. Kulfi is basically a sort of ice cream but I think it's made with condensed milk rather than normal. So it's rich and heavy and oh god, total yummy childhood staple. Malai means cream so basically it's the default sort of kulfi. You can also get pistachio kulfi and mango kulfi. *nod* I love malai the best cos I am a purist, dontcherknow. :p

Yeah, I'm not sure I get the whole cous cous thing. But then perhaps I haven't had enough. And also, me with the nice rice, you know? :p As for the rest, omg FOR THE WIN!!

Heh. Totally understandable. I am verrah partial to the potato myself, especially when mashed and blended to perfect consistency zomg.

Also, you know, just because you live in a certain culture doesn't mean you have to like it or stay in it. *pokes you* Otherwise, I'd never know the delights of pasta.
