God, I love this story. Yes, enough to type it out. All the more to take it into me.

You like Lynn Flewelling?! I've just started the Bone Doll's Twin, but have been too busy to finish it. I think I probably enjoy the Nightrunner series more, you know there's going to be a fourth one? She's been coming to a very small convention at Smith College for the past 3 years (the last two of which I have unfortunatley missed her) (My friends haven't though). But she's really awesome! (I gave her some fan art a loonng time ago cause I was in some sort of phase, it's up on her site and very embarassing. o.0

I started reading the Prestige too, but haven't finished.

I loved the Bone Doll Twin. The whole necromancy stuff, dude, how it creeeptastic and kinda fab and the whole subplot with the male magician and the witch, the sexuality of magic. Loved it. Wasn't quite so bowled over by Hidden Warrior and have a sneaking suspicion I might not enjoy this final one if it goes the way I fear it will. But we'll see.

Yeah, see, I tried the first book of the Nightrunner series. Didn't really do much for me ... possibly I was expecting too much.

*lol* Fanart ... that's so cool and dorky and gawwww fangirly ... I love it.

Mmm I can't wait to get the Prestige. If the writing's anywhere like The Affirmation, I know I'll be in a suitable mindfuck. Guh Christopher Priest.

I'm afraid I haven't read any Lyn Flewelling. Have I destroyed your respect for me forever? :)

*lol* Nah, my mistake. I thought you had but now I remember I've lent you The Bone Doll Twin in the last book exchange ... right? *squints at bookshelf* Yeah, I don't see it so you must have it. :p

Destroyed my respect ... cheeky girl. ♥

Really? Are you sure? I'll have another look this evening, but I couldn't see it. Could you have lent it to someone else?

Oh god. Don't say that ...

*crawls to look carefully at bookshelf*

You're right. I didn't lend it to you. I am an idiot. Pliss forgive me. *hangs head*

How embarrassment. Are you laughing at me??

Ooh, most chuffed you liked it!!

How are you with bigass unbelievably long and dense and gorgeously written novels? Cos that's Jonathan Strange And Mr Norrell. I feel the need to warn you. It's a thousand pages in paperback form ... :p But god, it is fabulously written, way more Austen than Dickens, I realised. So fucking awesome.

Okay, I really need to be more freaked out at how the similarities tween us just keep comin'. I'm way too blase about them now ... *lol* ... liek "oh yeah, me too, cool."

So okay, most people get put off by the length but if you're cool with that, the only hurdle that might still stand is the language. Either way, I hope you have a go at it. *beams*

YES! And what's even better is it's the closest loveliest representation of him to the book as I've seen in my limited exploration ... god, so lovely.
