*tacklehugs and kisses* Driiiiiiiiiii...............
considering it looks like we both took a holiday from the internet this weekend...how was your weekend?
I think it's the TranPacific..*l* I still need to make that icon...and get a paid account!
Spent most of the weekend reading a book my Aunt raved about, Planes, Trains and Elephants by Brian Thacker. I was killing myself with laughter by the end. From what I can surmise, there is no dignity in travel.
I want to read that book.....sounds interesting.
And so I spent the rest of the weekend thinking very hard about how I could live in London. Well it'd be much easier for you to immigrate there than it would for me..I'm sure there's a way

considering it looks like we both took a holiday from the internet this weekend... Yeah, I noticed we did that little synchronicity again ... hee. Does this telepathy never end? :p
It was a good weekend. I think it was the first for as long as I can remember where I really really relaxed. And honestly, I think the big difference was the lack of laptop. It meant no LJ commitments, no art commitments, no writing, reading of fic or anything. Normally I lug my laptop home with every intention of catching up on fic, comments, icons/art, my own writing. It's not so much putting pressure on myself as just trying to take full advantage of free time. I kinda forget that it doesn't necessarily mean full relaxation.
This weekend, the only thing I had to do was finish the Michael Marshall Smith book and that I did Saturday morning ... also it's not like reading MMS is a chore. Heh. So, yeah, much0 relax0, the rewards of which I'm still reaping ... very very calm two days later.

And so I spent the rest of the weekend thinking very hard about how I could live in London. Transcribe as work? In about two years? Hmmmm.
So is this were the question about when I want to go to London steamed from? Considering when I mentioned some weeks ago that I've decided I have to go overseas that I never actually recall saying where! You actually took me by surprise when you asked and now I know what prompted it! So explain what brought this on??? *curious eye brow raise*
Actually you did say. We were discussing the study abroad thing and you said Paris would be out cos of the language thing so possibly London. That and the departure of the Goddess has kind of made me realise it is so fucking possible. Also I'll admit the thirty thing is also worrying me a little, it's an excellent point. I want to live in London before I'm thirty. It just seems right.
And I almost have it worked out ... although it might help if I found a place to live here in Sydney first. *rolls eyes* Dunno. Even if it's for six months ... I'd love to live years there but can't pretend to be that self-sufficient. And, who knows, maybe I'd hate the weather so much I'd want to come home. But, man, it would be awesome to live there. I was having this imaginary conversation with Tiny Dancer last night, comparing Sydney to London and yeah, the comparison totally worked for me, aside from the weather. Totally spoilt by Aussie and Indian sun, man.
I did too, but that was ages ago... or yes I forgot : P Certainly wasn't the conversation I was thinking of... never mind. Sorry didn't mean to make you starting thinking of the thirty thing. But I agree it would be great to live there. We just have to start making plans to make it happened : )
