Today's discovery: peanut butter pretzels. Crunchy and salty on the outside, soft and nut buttery on the inside. Not particularly pretzel shaped, though. So what constitutes the essence of pretzel if not shape? Salt and crunch, yes. Yum ( Read more... )

Waaahhh...peanut butter pretzels? Where?? How? And why does peanut butter make everything deliciously better! Bless Reese's peanut butter cups.

The health food store at Leichhardt Marketplace just next to Bi-Lo. Mmmm peanut butter ... but, see, oddly enough, I'm not keen on Reese's wotsies, something about the artificial sugar that makes me gag. But then I have a dark and salty tooth rather than sweet, hee.

Man, I've known about peanut butter pretzels since I was born! They are gloryfood. They're one of those things that I can't buy often because I will, appetite be damned, finish off the whole bag in one sitting. I love extracting the peanut butter prior to eating the pretzel, but that's just because I enjoy playing with food.

Have I mentioned I love peanut butter?

See, I was waiting for someone on my flist to say that. :p Bagels and pretzels, apparently we Aussies lack serious variety in these departments. I developed a little technique of peeling the crunchy stuff off in two bits, then rolling the nut butter (i get far too much pleasure out of that phrase) around my tongue before melting it down.

Stoppit, you making me hungrierrrrr ...

A love of peanut butter is a fine and wondrous thing. Bravo. ;p

Silly Australians! There's so many wonders you have yet to discover.

Have you ever had almond butter (another nut butter)? It's delicious. Same with cashew butter, although it's not very spreadable (but great for spooning!).
