This is delightful! I love your Mark, and how he's interested in Eduardo (and his forearms!) but it's not like would admit it. I also love Dustin in this -- he lost a baby tiger, but it's okay Wardo found it and was adorable with it!

I can't wait to read more. I'm loving this so far :D

Hi! So I should probably stop prefacing my thoughts on fic by saying that I normally dislike AU because I end up loving it if the characters are handled with care and they certainly are here! I really, really love your Mark; he feels so much like movie!Mark, specifically moments where he questioned if anyone could take a joke or this: "Mark closes his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. He senses a headache coming on."... so good. And his insistence that there must be something up with Eduardo because no one can be that perfect! Everyone finding Mark kind of harsh and grating but Eduardo finding him oddly amusing and even being endeared to him is one of my favorite qualities of their relationship and you've captured that so well. I might have instantly thought "HE SO FINDS IT CHARMING!" at the end there! I'm super excited to see their friendship form and think you laid a really fascinating foundation; I adore the dynamic already in place.

I'm glad you're giving my fic a chance despite your reservations about AU because I absolutely adore them [and they're probably going to be the only things I write for TSN].

Ah, I'm so pleased that my Mark voice works for you. I've seen a few people talk about it being difficult to get his POV right, but for whatever reason, I can't find myself writing from a perspective that isn't Mark's. [He's a little more tentative/unsure of himself in the Pretty Woman AU, but I guess you'll see that soon enough.] And ugh, the Mark-Eduardo dynamic is so important to me, so I'm really psyched that it came through here. Haha, it's really only going to get more ridiculous from here on out-Mark generally being oblivious to Eduardo's advances, random cameos, film tie-ins and so on. I can't help myself. :D

This fic is awesome! I'm so looking forward to more. I'm totally kind of getting an Ugly Truth vibe, just with, like, role reversal. Mark's character is so awesome, he feels so Mark-ish. And everybody else also seem very true to their own characters, so that's just amazing. Sean Parker Variety Hour - I'm soooo anticipating this war, I don't even know what to say. Oh, GOD, I hope Mark doesn't end up fraternizing with the enemy in this AU too ;__;

Umm, right, that was not the point of this comment. Stream of consciousness and whatnot. Right, so, seriously, this story is really good. I love how understated it is and how you incorporate all these awesome denial lines (nah, of course that's not what Mark thinks) that speak very well of Mark's character. This is just so rightly voiced, I adore it. I cannot wait for more!

Ahh, thank you so much! I haven't actually seen that movie, so I'll just have to take your word for it, haha. No spoilers, but Sean definitely plays a key role later on, though maybe not in the way one might think. Either way, he's pretty much bad news. :/

You're too kind. I'm really pleased all my characterization/voices are working for you. :)

You can't keep starting amazing fic and not finish them. It's not fair :(
